Shanghai ShiShen Food Technology was established in 2019. Initiated by Chinese traditional medicine experts (the successor of Lei Yun Shang, a time-honored medical brand born in the first year of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty), Chinese national cooking masters and food industry experts, it is committed to inheriting and developing the functions and health concepts of traditional Chinese plants, and promoting healthy plant-based food.
Given ShiShen’s background in traditional Chinese medicine and its collaboration with credible brands such as Lei Yun Shang and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, its philosophy that medicine and food have the same origin is not only in line with China’s traditional food culture, but also fits well with the current trend of functional foods that would appeal to mainstream Chinese consumers of different age groups.

Denis ZHU • Founder
ZHU Zhenyu (Denis), the founder of ShiShen Technology, graduated from Shanghai Ocean University majoring in food and has been engaged in the food industry for more than 20 years. He was mainly engaged in product research and development, supply chain design, and project integration. Denis has served well-known companies in the food industry such as Nissin, McCormick, and Campbell Soup.
